Spring! The glorious season of spring comes with so much beauty...but did you know that it’s also a fun and festive time for gnomes and fairy folk?
Why just the other day while I was out walking among the sweet, velvet soft clover, I spotted some movement in a thick patch. The clover was bouncing and swaying as if a small whirlwind were dancing above it. Of course my curiosity got the best of me, so, I slowly crept over to see what could be causing all this clover commotion.
Peering down into the clover I could see a very tiny figure sitting on what appeared to be a clover swing. I began to make out the figure, which to my surprise, was a tiny gnome fairy all dressed in green, with fluttering, tiny, white clover colored fairy wings and a beard that hung long. His beard reminded me of the orange stripes that a tiger wears.
He was having the time of his life swinging and swaying, there, amongst the clover. As I peered closer I caught the faint sound of singing. This little gnome fairy was happily singing and swinging his day away in the sweet, velvety soft clover.
Just at that moment, I found myself envious of this tiny gnome fairy, wanting to be, as happy as he, swinging and swaying in the breeze while the sweet clover hovered over me, filling my lungs with their wonderful fragrance and honey bees buzzing about as butterflies fluttered along on the spring time winds.
All at once, from the corner of my eye, a flopping, hopping motion distracted me as it came quickly into the area where I had been lost in admiration. A large, fuzzy, brown bunny was munching and making its way through the delicious clover. Every now and then it would stop to give me an inquisitive look...wondering if I was friend or foe.
Finding me to be no harm, the bunny made its way in my direction, nimbly bouncing quickly over the clover as if it was trying not to step on it and damage its tender leaves and flowers.
I began to worry for my tiny friend on his clover swing, but as I looked down he was nowhere to be found. He must have heard our furry friend heading our way and took flight.
The bunny came and sat near the tip of my toes, eating the clover where the gnome fairy had been swinging the spring day away. After filling his tummy with clover so sweet, the bunny hopped away as quickly as he came...leaving me to ponder on all the wonders I had just seen...standing there amidst the velvet, white clover with all their stems of green....
