August Gnome

August Gnome

Early morning blue skies.

Buzzing, fluttering, zipping critter-flies.

Cattails rising high.

Clear water ripples as a little duck paddles by.

Big trophy fish on the line, two more in the pail…I think I saw a twitch of a tail!

August Gnome is happily fishing the day away in his best outdoor getup…what an awesome outdoor display!

All that wiggles, hops and crawls has come along… August Gnome may seem to be alone, but, he’s brought a few friends from home.

Fishing is wonderful, fishing is fun, fishing is easy, especially when you’re a gnome out in the morning sun….

Summer Night Camping

Summer Night Camping

Summer night warm breezes floating on the soft, flowery scented air.

A Nightingale sings so sweetly as its harmonious notes float up toward the moon’s white glare.

Fireflies dancing brightly without any care.

Nature's creatures hop, bop, and wiggle through the flora and fauna with great flair.

A deep violet, small, pup tent, under the mountain's immense stare, holds two sleeping souls…snoring away. Oh! What a pair!

A very timid hare hides beneath the tall pines, while the sparkling stars twinkle in the night air.

Summer night camping is fun and a bit of a scare…so pack up your pup tent and head out if you dare!

Whidbey Whale

Whidbey Whale

Standing at the edge of the shore, peering out at the vast, dark blue sea, stood a brown eyed girl in great curiosity. All the sudden, without any warning, materialized a marvelous creature; its immense body gracefully arching up out of the salty sea.

Whidbey the whale gave a playful splash with her magnificent tail, sending out a thunderous hello to the girl in the know.

Up! Up! Out she flew, dancing and singing as all whales do!

While she danced and sang, the girl cried out her name… “Whidbey!”

Whidbey swam closer, for her interest had awakened…soon, seeing it was her brown eyed friend whose heart she had taken.

Yes, many years had passed since they had last met; Whidbey remembered her now, this brown eyed girl had given her a loving pet…something so wonderful, Whidbey would never forget.

Bluster Gnome

Bluster Gnome

It’s one of those stormy, wet, April days and who do I see coming out of the indigo-rain haze, it’s Bluster and he’s carrying his bright rainbow colored umbrella in hopes of bringing on the sun's gaze.

Looks like Bluster has been picking some newly bloomed blossoms to place in a vase, beautiful, colorful, flowers to put a smile on his face.

See the critters all enjoying this downpour, to them this rainy day is refreshing and grand, yes, all of the heavy raindrops plunging down on the land.

Dripping and dropping, heavy then soft. Dripping and dropping, sending pools of water aloft!

Those storm clouds look so ominous! Bluster better move on home, because this weather situation could get tricky…even for a gnome.

Soon the May sunshine will be here growing colorful flowers of plenty, but until then, Bluster must carry his rainbow umbrella for us to all envy….

Tuzi

Deep beneath her little feet are the stems of crocus that will be sweet to eat.

The sky is a cool, powder blue and this bunny with sapphire eyes is looking directly at you.

Tuzi is her name…she is wondering if you like crocuses the same?

Now be still and don’t make any sudden moves or Tuzi will hop away before you can move your big toe shoes.

Wiggle whiskers move about, while Tuzi nibbles the crocuses, with hopes that more will sprout.

Winter seems long...but soon it will be spring. How do we know this…because crocuses always tell us so…it’s just their thing!

Snowflakes fly into the arctic-lavender, frosted sky, as your tiny little feet greet the birch branch that bounces about in the winter’s wild, windswept dance.
