Corinna's Cocoa Van!

I smell something chocolaty, sweet and delicious!

It’s Corinna’s Cocoa Van! Oh! I must hurry over and see what all Corinna has cooking in her little peppermint, chocolate, cocoa van.

As I approach this darling little sugar filled van, I see a beautiful, sweet, smiling face peek out from behind some tiny red velvet curtains that have been staged above a glorious display of sweet treats, making their star appearance for a hopeful, hungry audience. Why...it’s Corinna herself! Yes, I’d know that twinkling peppermint smile with it’s little chocolate chip beauty mark anywhere!

It has been told that when Corinna was born, some of Santa’s Christmas fairies were looking for a girl child whose eyes would be the color of fresh ground cocoa, her hair of soft mocha brown with golden toffee highlights, that would glimmer in the warm sun’s rays and she would have an infectious, laughing - giggle that would fill the hearts and minds of all she touched with her peppermint joy.

So...as the story goes...when the news of the child (Corinna) they’d been looking for was born, the fairies were overjoyed and they all went to see her.  With their wings all happily fluttering over Corinna as she laid in her bassinet, they placed about her many wonderful sweet cocoa and peppermint gifts. But the most precious of all the gifts they gave were the sweet cocoa fairy kisses that they placed atop the corner of her peppermint pink smile. Then they blessed her with the touch of Christmas sweetness to share all the year round. The fairies knew this would be a very important task and so they also gave her a small Mallowman that would help to guide her and be of great service to her when she traveled the lands of snow. Together they’d spread Christmas sweetness, cocoa and peppermint goodness wherever she and Mallow might go.

While this has been a wonderful tale to tell you...I must go and get myself some of Corinna’s delightful cocoa with marshmallows and a peppermint stick to stir this marvelous concoction with. And I must not forget cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! One can never have too many cookies! Corinna has her specialty cookies out, chocolate chip and peppermint stripes. Maybe after I’ve delighted my tummy with these delicious treats, the Christmas Fairies will leave me with a beautiful cocoa kiss too….
