Warm and Bright

Twas the night of Christmas eve and all through the house the mice were stirring and decorating the warm, cozy house.

Noel, Belle and Gabriel are busy at work putting lights on the Christmas tree. With a tug and a jerk! Making it just right! Yes! It has to be perfect…they can’t have them breaking free.

Then gently placing the red and gold Christmas beads into their perfect spaces, while big, happy smiles, spread wide across their faces.

Tenderly putting the Christmas globes about the tree. Look at their beautiful colors of red, gold, purple, blue and green…such wonderful colors to set the Christmas scene.

Last, but never the least, comes the shining golden star with its brilliant glow. Oh, how our eyes feast upon this spectacular beauty as we look up from below.

Candle light flickers, giving the tiny room a soft, warm feel, while…outside, cold snowflakes fill the windowsill.

Presents wrapped and sitting on the floor. Oh! I do hope we will have a few more!

May this Christmas find you all warm and bright. And may you all be together in comfort and love on this very holy night….

Shooting Stars

Fairies are real! Well in my world they are.

Many cultures around the world, throughout history, speak of fairies and their amusing behaviors. So I guess I’m not the only one to believe that fairies possibly (exist…yes they do!)

This is the story of two tiny fairies, who are named, Twinkle and Twilight.

They’re busy every night shooting stars into the heaven’s, filling it with brilliant stars.

Using sharpened arrows for flight, Twinkle and Twilight attach golden stars and aim for the deep dark night skies, letting the arrows fly. Soon, all the universe is abundant with golden shimmering stars.

On this evening of Soween (the end of summer and the start of winter), a time of which it’s especially interesting to look into the night sky, you can see the Pleiades sitting in the constellation of The Hunter Orion. Which is to be found in the eastern skies…look past Orion’s Bow and above Aldebaran to see this cluster of stars, called the Pleiades or the Seven Sisters

The celebration of Soween, was marked by the Celts when the Pleiades climbed to its highest point in the night sky, around midnight. So Twinkle and Twilight are extraordinarily busy this evening making sure to get every star into its perfect place!

If you really want to explore all of the evening's hauntingly beautiful universe, you can search out the Witches Nebula, next to Pleiades and the star Rigel. In this evening's night sky you can also find Pegasus the flying horse and The Ghost Nebula. So many spooktacular stars shining brightly in the deepest, darkest night of Soween.

Soon Twinkle and Twilight will return to their glowing, cozy, pumpkin cottage to enjoy a delicious loaf of warm Barmbrack, raisin tea bread, along with a steaming cup of roasted acorn tea. Twilight is hopeful to find a coin that has been placed into the loaf, for the finder to receive a wish of prosperity in the coming year.

So, to all those who are celebrating a spooky All Hallows’ Eve or a sparkling Soween; may your home be filled with warmth, delicious aromas of Brambrack, prosperity and love. And may your night skies be saturated with golden shooting stars that have been shot into the evening’s sky by two of the most amazing archers’, Twinkle and Twilight….

Fearless Felines!

Sitting at a summer, June window are two fearless felines.

Yes! Fearless they are! For no wing creature can make them hide, these two whiskery kittens always stay side by side.

Pepper and Saffron are their names and chasing fluttery, butterflies is their game!

Clear blue skies glow outside the windows ledge as these two kittens sit and watch the butterflies dance about the roses hedge.

Food and water in their bowls, but these fearless creatures are hunting summer moles.

The clock above, at one…twenty three, but, these kittens don’t notice, now, they’re looking for a busy-bee.

Colorful summer flowers surround their furry heads…I wonder if they will soon be finding a cozy, flowery space to rest and make their beds.

Happy Summer to all you Fearless Felines!

Lots of colorful eggs upon the ground and tiny little creatures, not making a sound.

Baby birds calling out from their heart shaped nest…soon they will quiet down and find some rest.

Wings of Spring

The wings of spring flutter in the cool morning breeze.

Soon, she sits, perched on a newly budding tree.

Spring's song sings out into the air.

Flowers’ hearing her lift up their colorful heads without any care.

The earth below the flowers’ roots begins to warm.

The air above may possibly cast out a springtime storm.

Frozen waters’ that have laid dormant in pools’ and lakes’, feel the new seasons warming and the ice that captured them melts and breaks.

All that hops, wiggles, creeps, flutters and flies, find their paths as spring touches the soft powder blue skies.

Trees’ dance and sway in the spring's mild, cool breeze, while their delicate leaves unfurl with joy, reaching up to the golden sun that floats in the powder blue sea.

The wings of spring have flown to us once again…so let us go out and play in her breezes just like the morning Wren….

Mogjae Yong

Deep in the beautiful Zhangjiajie (Jaang-jaa-juh) forest of China, at the top of a sandstone pillar peak, a very faint chirping can be heard in a tall patch of lush trees.

This isn’t just any ordinary chirping, this chirping sounds much more determined to let the world know that a new creature has arrived on the wings of a new year…the Chinese New Year to be exact!

Yes! Directly under a Dove tree, the chirping is located…what’s this?! A dragon! Born under a rare species tree, into this world arrives another amazing rare species!

Soon, finding himself taking flight, this little fern-green, wood dragon unfurls his tiny vermilion wings and floats out into the deep blue sky. I think we’ll call him Mogjae Yong!

Where will he travel in this new year as life plays out in front of him..harnessing so much energy and an abundance of curiosity? With the steadiness of wood, he’ll go out into the world and bring with him the feeling of calm, generosity, honesty, vitality, and creativity.

As he grows his intelligence will find success, honor and power to overcome whatever trials that come his way.

As with all dragons he will grow into a leader, influencing all in his path. His imagination will bring progress to the world.

Mogjae Yong will adapt quickly to this new world, but as with all newborns there are bound to be some mishaps. So as Mogjae goes throughout the world learning and rising up, please be forgiving if he happens to cross your path and accidentally knocks you off your feet with a wind gust or two from his wings in training.

Welcome to our world Mogjae Yong! Let us grow in beauty, strength, generosity, kindness and peace together….

You gnome I think of you often when I’m away from your reach.

You gnome I can’t live without you.

You gnome there is no one else who can compare to you.

You gnome you’re the only one for me.

Nightingale

If I could be any bird, what would I be?

I would be a nightingale with a song so sweet.

I’d fly over golden valleys, emerald-green hills, snow covered mountains and enormous seas that are blue and deep.

I’d fly through the skies until my mission is complete.

I would fly to the lonely, lost, frightened and terrorized… where life seems bleak.

I would light on a branch and sing through the night, a song so mild, lovely and bright.

I would sing it high and sing it low, a song to help the tender child of war to find their soft pillow.

If I were a nightingale what a song I would sing…I would sing it so loud that world peace it would bring….
